Welcome to the 2008-2009 Concert Season!

November 14 Friday		1^st series concert, Wissahickon High School at 7:30pm Brahms, Academic Festival Overture, Op. 80 Brahms, Concerto for Violin, Cello and Orchestra in a minor, Op. 102 featuring Leah Kim, violin and Stephen Framil, cello Borodin, Symphony No. 1 in E-flat
December 3 Wednesday		Dorothy Talley Holiday Music Program at 7:00 pm Performed in memory of Dorothy Talley, a long-time Amber Symphony Board Member. Bethlehem Baptist Church, Penllyn Pike at Dager Road, Spring House Traditional holiday music and carols for the whole family.
January 18 Sunday		Menges Junior Concert The first of two annual Menges Scholarship Competition concerts, featuring performances by Junior award recipients (ages 12 and under)
February 22 Sunday		Menges Scholarship concert The annual Menges Scholarship concert has become one of the most exciting converts of our season. The young people who won the auditions, and who will each appear with the Ambler Symphony as soloists, are among the most promising young musicians in the tri-state area. It's an afternoon of music you shouldn't miss.
April 3 Friday		2^nd series concert, Wissahickon High School at 7:30pm Respighi, The Fountains of Rome Barber, Violin Concerto, Op. 14 featuring Luigi Mazzocchi, violin Sibelius, Symphony No. 1 in e minor, Op. 39
May 15 Friday		3^rd series concert, Wissahickon High School at 7:30pm Join us for the Pops Concert, our final series concert of the season.
June 14 Sunday		Summer Concert, The Highlands at 6:30pm Bring a picnic blanket to spread in the garden and enjoy lovely music performed by the Ambler Symphony. Gardens open at 5PM for picnicking; tours of the mansion are available from 5PM-6PM; silent auction items on display for bidding from 5PM-6PM. Concert by Ambler Symphony begins at 6:30PM. Adults $10 and Children (under age 13) $5. Reservations are required by June 10, 215-641-2687. Raindate June 28.
June 17 Wednesday		Summer Concert, Hope Lodge at 7:00pm For tickets and information, please contact the Hope Lodge (215) 646-1595 Raindate June 24 at 7pm.
